Pixel Art Editor
A Canvas where you can create pixel art and share your artwork
About Pixel Art Editor
This pixel art editor lets you create simple designs by clicking on the grid—each click fills one square with your chosen color. You can switch between different grid sizes (8×8 up to 64×64) to work in more or less detail, and toggle the grid lines on or off as you prefer. The color palette includes basic shades plus a custom picker, so you can use any color you like. If you make a mistake, use Undo or Redo to fix it, or hit Clear to start over. When you’re happy with your art, you can save it as a PNG image, print it directly, or share it with others (on supported devices). The editor works on both desktop and mobile, and you can expand it to fullscreen for a bigger drawing area. Everything is designed to be simple and straightforward—just pick a color and start filling pixels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and this editor gives you a few ways to fix them. The Undo button is your best friend – just click it to go back one step and undo your last change. If you undo something and then realize you actually wanted to keep it, the Redo button will bring it back. You can use these as many times as you need. If you want to start completely over, the Clear button will erase everything on your canvas and give you a fresh white grid to work with. Just be careful with Clear – there's no way to undo it except starting over.
The four colored squares you see are just quick presets to make common colors easy to reach. But you're not limited to these at all. Right next to the swatches, you'll see a box labeled "custom" with a small colored square inside. Click that square and a full color picker will open up. From there, you can choose any color imaginable – you can slide around to find the perfect shade, adjust brightness, or even enter a specific color code if you know it. Once you pick a color, it becomes your active color just like any of the presets.
Yes, and this can be really helpful when you want to see your artwork without the distraction of lines. Just below the grid size buttons, there's a toggle switch labeled "Show grid" with a checkbox. When the box is checked, you'll see light gray lines dividing all your pixels. If you uncheck it, the lines disappear and you'll just see your colored pixels sitting next to each other. The lines are only there as a guide, so hiding them doesn't change your actual drawing – it just gives you a cleaner view of your work. You can switch the grid on and off anytime.
